ROSEDALE ROAD AND BULL MEADOW ALLOTMENT ASSOCIATION

Matters Arising:

Water Board have fixed leak on meter at Bull Meadow. They have submitted an invoice for approx £350, which Andrew is disputing.

The strimmer has been repaired at a cost of £98. Please take care when using tools.

Generator not fixexd –  Andrew to have a word with the man who fixes his implements.

 

Rosedale Road Report:

No manure or chippings During the recent high winds, the top blew from the noticeboard. Several sheds lost felt from roof, and one shed took off completely.

THE GATE IS STILL BEING LEFT OPEN. PLEASE LOCK IT AT ALL TIMES.

There have been several enquires from members regarding Gro-organic and green netting. E-mail to be sent to members regarding this.

 

Bull Meadow Report:

No manure or woodchips. Plumbing materials have been dumped on site including nails. Les has been putting up the plot numbers. Carpet needs to be taken off site.

 

Treasurer’s Report 

Donation of £50 to Tyrrells Hall – for use of room agreed by all present.

Site insurance to be paid £265.  ~Raffle Raised £15

It was agreed to order Gro-organic. (see separate e-mail)

Balance £3387.30

Andrew will speak to Water Board regarding Agricultural water rates.

Honorary member Ray Groom has passed away. He was aged 98.

There is a tree looking unsteady on Plot 18. Andrew will investigate.

Chadwell Allotment Association will be open on 22nd January 9-12

Up to date list of members to be give to Orchard Garden Centre re- 10% cards

 

WORK PARTIES: ROSEDALE AND BULL MEADOW ON SUNDAY 12TH FEBRUARY 10am to 12 noon. MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK.

Please come along if you can spare a couple of hours of your time to keep the site tidy and clean.  Thank you in advance.

 

Veggie Talk – Parsnips can be planted out now, shallots in mid February. Parsnips are very slow to germinate – so be patient and use new parsnips seeds every year. They do not keep well.
