Plant now: Onion sets, shallots, parsnips, spring onions.
Most other seeds can be started off in a cold frame or greenhouse.

(Chadwell Allotment Association open Wednesday 12-2 p.m. and Sunday 9-12)

Removal of Leylandii hedge
03/02/17 – All Plot holders beneath the Conifer hedge.
The removal of the Mosaic Care home Leylandii hedge is due start next week. Please remove any fragile objects beneath the hedge if you can…just in case.
The climbers may need access to the trees through your plots, please co-operate with them if you are on site.
The branches should be removed through the Care home, with hopefully little disturbance of your plots.

Still not too late to plant broad beans. Time to tidy up and prepare plot for next seasons planting. Prepared soil can be covered with tarpaulin to prevent weed growth. (Carpet is not allowed)
