ROSEDALE ROAD AND BULL MEADOW ALLOTMENT ASSOCIATION

Meeting 13th January 2017.

Matters Arising:

Andrew has had quotes regarding the trees (Mosaic Homes) and it was agreed that to finally and hopefully bring an end to this matter and for Health and Safety reasons, that without accepting liability or ownership of these trees, the Association will make a token payment towards the cost of removing/coppicing these trees of between £1-2000. With a cap at the higher end. (the cheapest quote being £5,000) Work should be carried out in February.

 

Rosedale Road Report:

IBM tanks still available from Tony Briggs. Alan and Clive took scrap metal away, and received £80 (£30 has been spent on weed killer and Alan will hold the balance on the Association’s behalf for manure etc. when required

Bull Meadow Report: All plots taken.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Sites insurance paid £290.65. Balance £4697.64.

Smith’s Xmas Charity stall raised £737.50 total with their charity box = £1445.00 between St. Luke’s and Little Haven’s. Thanks to all involved.

Our December Christmas Quiz was won by the ‘A’ Team, (Lorraine, Beverley and Clive)

Coppicing dates at Belhus Woods: 15th January, 12th February and 12th March (11 a.m. – 1 p.m) All wood collected is free – phone Sheila 382679 or Clive 380539 for more details.

Chadwell Allotment Association shop is now open Sunday 9.30 – 12 noon and Wednesday 12 noon – 2 p.m. for seed potatoes, compost, seeds etc.

It was agreed to spend a small amount of money for water catchment material for 2 IBMs on Boscombe end car park, these are for use by all plot holders.

Elaine will arrange to make a donation of £50 to Tyrells Hall for the use of the room for meetings.
