ROSEDALE ROAD AND BULL MEADOW ALLOTMENT ASSOCIATION

 Meeting 11th March 2011.

Matters arising:

Thanks go to the members who turned up to help at the work parties. Greatly appreciated.

Gro-organic is still available. Contact Keith or Clive.

 

Rosedale Road Report:

Two sheds have been broken into, and one had a lock tampered with. Please keep your eyes peeled. Anything suspicious should be reported to the number on your Allotment Watch card.  Manure is plentiful.

 

Bull Meadow Report:

Plenty of manure. Andrew is to look at a tree overhanging Les Dartnell’s plot and report it to the council if considered dangerous

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Raffle raised £11. Balance £2819.86.

Water usage on both sites is steadily rising. B.M.= 2006 93cm 2010 233cm

R.R = 2006 383cm, 2010 501cm. Please use water wisely to keep rents down.

PLEASE NOTE SPRINKLER ARE NOT ALLOWED.

It was agreed to allow Little Thurrock Primary School (Reception Class) to walk children through the site on Friday 1st of April for their “Growing” project. Times are to be arranged with Alan and Keith.

It was agreed by all present to dispose of the gas bottles in the shed.

Three letters were sent to plot holders who have not worked their plot despite signing 10 week agreement.  Two have had work started one still has not been touched. Their deadline is 25th March. Lorraine Roast can obtain chicken manure, if anyone is interested contact her. (Number is on list of contacts pinned to notice board)

The next Thurrock Allotment Steering Group Meeting is on Wed. 27th April 7.30. Belmont Hall, Parker Road, Grays. All members are welcome to attend. It was suggested that next year we try Allotment & Gardeners Council UK., for insurance.
