ROSEDALE ROAD AND BULL MEADOW ALLOTMENT ASSOCIATION

Meeting 10th June 2016.

Matters Arising:

Mosaic Homes have told Andrew that they may be able to come to some arrangement regarding the dangerous conifers, however a letter is now to be sent to the Council. The Electric Company still have to be contacted. Clive to look for a contact number.

 

Rosedale Road Report:

One plot has been given up. Waiting to hear from a second plot holder who has done no work. Believed to have moved house. Chippings neeed.

Alan and Clive had a clear up on site in readiness for the BBQ – Saturday June 25th.

Boscombe end gate has been found unlocked – please ensure the lock is fully engaged.

 

Bull Meadow Report:

Grass has been cut by Les. Chippings needed. Lawnmower has been fixed once again – well done Les. Weeds on sprayed plot now dying off. A set of keys has been found outside the gate attached to a key ring. Contact Les if you think they may be yours.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Balance: £3655.54. Auction raised £5.85

Water Bill at the moment approx £95.

6X still available (going quickly) £6 per bag see Clive or Alan.

BBQ  Saturday 25th June 5 p.m. – bring some food to cook and something to drink – all welcome.  (sorry about short notice)

Open Day on Site: Saturday August 25th – donations of cakes, produce and help will be welcome 10a.m. –  1 p.m.

Some members would like another Association outing this year back to the Canterbury Food Festival, if you are interested and you e-mail me and if we have enough people interested I will do my best to arrange it. (Saturday Sept 24th)

Veggie Talk:  Blight warnings have been received for this area – now is the time to spray before it appears then every 3 weeks after.  Shirley tomatoes may be less likely to succombe, also Crimson Crush are supposed to be blight resistant.

Not too late to plant runner beans – you will just get a later crop
